Gone will be the days of frantically re-packing your carry-on at the boarding gate to fit your purse or duty-free bag into your one piece of hand luggage as Ryanair has announced that starting in December all passengers can bring a second piece of hand luggage on-board with them. The second piece of cabin luggage can have the maximum dimensions of 35 x 20 x 20cm.
Another improvement Ryanair will be implementing to clean up their notorious customer service image will be to operate “quiet flights”. Starting this November, flights departing before 8am and after 9pm will only have announcements over the PA that are required by law and the lights will be dimmed for passengers wishing to rest.
These measures are part of a plan to improve the low cost airline’s customer service and are based on results of a survey released on its website. The improvements will be implemented over the next six months, until March 2014.
