1. Ritz Carlton Hong Kong
This hotel will open at the end of the month and guests staying there will have the choice of 312 bedrooms, the highest of which are located at 490m.
2. Park Hyatt Shanghai
This hotel is located in the Shanghai World Financial Centre which is the third tallest building in the world. The hotel is situated between floors 74 and 94 and it also has the highest viewpoint in the world.
3. Abraj Al Bait Towers, Mecca
This hotel has 76 floors and measures 545m high. It is famous for its four-faced clock tower which is visible for more than 16 miles.
4. Rose Tower, Dubai
This hotel is 333m above sea level and has 72 floors.
5. Ryugyong Hotel, Pyongyang
This pyramid-shaped hotel is located in Pyongyang in North Korea and it has 105 floors and measures 330m high. Even though construction has not finished yet, this hotel is expected to open in 2012.
6. Burj al Arab, Dubai
Burj al Arab is the only hotel to be given a 6-star rating for its excellent quality service. It is 321m high and its architecture is modelled on the sails of a ship.
7. Jumeirah Emirates Towers, Dubai
This hotel is more than 300m high and has 56 floors. It is located in the centre of Dubai and is connected to the Emirates Office Tower.
8. Baiyoke Tower II, Bangkok
This hotel is one of the many skyscrapers in Bangkok in Thailand and it is 309m high (328m if you include the antenna). At Baiyoke Tower II you can take your pick from 673 bedrooms spread out over 85 floors.
9. Address Downtown Burj Khalifa, Dubai
This is just another one of the huge buildings in Dubai. This 5-star hotel has 63 floors and measures 306m high.
10. The Cullinan I, Hong Kong
This hotel is located in the Chinese city, Hong Kong, and is 270m high and has 68 floors.
